December 12th Books Disappointments of 2017

I got this one for xmas 16 or for my bday, and this Fall I finally got to it, but blergh. So dull!

I sure had bigger hopes than DNF!

I wanted so much more from this series but it ended with one big boring bang. Total waste of a series!

Why did I force myself to try and finish this series?! I just wanted to know how it ended. Did I? Nope, it was a convoluted mess that I just gave up on.

Do you see a theme? Yes, fantasy often disappoint me the most cos I want more. And this is another series I will not read more from.

I love fantasy fantasy the most, and when it fails it hurts me the most,

  3. I'm still so bummed you didn't like the books of the order series. I totally loved it.

Hmmm... my biggest disappointment of 2017 was Dating You / Hating You by Christina Lauren. I DNF'd. I so loved their earlier stuff and this was bad. But they made it up to me with the recent release of ROOMIES!

  4. That N.K. Jemisin series has gotten such great reviews, but for some reason the premise just does not intrigue me. Sorry you had some disappointing reads. Now, moving on to bigger and better ones! :)

  6. Oh I'm sad about the NK Jemisen series. That's on my list to try. Nothing worse than a book you're excited for being a bore.

  10. Aww, this is never a fun topic, but I could probably fill a pretty big list too. Sad to say, there were quite a few books that didn't live up to expectations for me this year.
