January 30th: What were some of the big best seller books that disappointed you?

Well honestly I have no idea which books are big bestsellers so I will just assume a few hyped books are and take it from there.

It won best YA of 2017 and nope, can't see it.  It tried too many things. It should have settled with just her POV.

At least the book above this one was actually good, this one was an ok mess

This one was one of those hyped ones that left me utterly disappointed

Ha, oh yes the long ago hyped Graceling. Ugh that heroine!

Oh I do not know. So here are a few hyped ones that disappointed me. The common theme was YA...haha, weird

On another note, I do not seem to give one dang on what is on the best seller lists since I have no idea of what I have read have been there.

  1. I didn't end up doing TMST this week because I rarely read best sellers and couldn't' think of too many books.

I guess a hyped book I didn't love would be The Hating Game.

  2. I didn't love The Bear and the Nightingale, which seems to be an unpopular opinion.

  5. Oh love the pic of your two kids, ha ha, in the snow. A hyped book or best seller, that flopped, whatever works. I have learned not to buy into the hype and the Bestsellers, because I keep getting burned.

  8. I really am not always a great fan of super hyped books to be honest, they rarely work for me. I haven't read any of them, but I have heard of Hate U Give, and to be honest I am not that tempted to pick it up.

  10. Yeah, most "big" YA books have tended to disappoint me too! Hype is dangerous!

  11. I'm sure I've been an equal opportunity book hater whether its little known or hyped. I think I'd rather not know if its supposed to be the next best thing b/c I would probably run from it if it was. I have Graceling on my shelf, and yes, it was recommended so I got it. LOL

Ahhh, cute snow play for kitty and baby.

  14. I completely agree about Graceling. I liked the start but the second half was bad. I felt the same way about Fire though. Cute photo!

  15. Baby and Luci! So cute.

I'm not a big fan of hyped up books. I think the last one that I really felt live up to the hype was The Martian.

I don't know about best sellers, but there have been books I didn't care for the most have loved. Can't think of what they are right now. haha
