Review: Something Secret This Way comes - Sierra Dean

Something Secret This Way comes by Sierra Dean
For Secret McQueen, her life feels like the punch line for a terrible joke. Abandoned at birth by her werewolf mother, hired as a teen by the vampire council of New York City to kill rogues, Secret is a part of both worlds, but belongs to neither. At twenty-two, she has carved out as close to a normal life as a bounty hunter can.

When an enemy from her past returns with her death on his mind, she is forced to call on every ounce of her mixed heritage to save herself—and everyone else in the city she calls home. As if the fate of the world wasn’t enough to deal with, there’s Lucas Rain, King of the East Coast werewolves, who seems to believe he and Secret are fated to be together. Too bad Secret also feels a connection with Desmond, Lucas’s second-in-command…

My thoughts:

I know from the start that this would be good, and the promise held as I came out from my book coma over later with a smile on my face. Ok strike that, it was more like a noooooooo! Do not leave me hanging, I need more!

Secret was one cool chick, of a freaky nature too. She works for vamps, she avoid weres. And that's where I fell in love. Weres show up and the rest is history, it started with a giggle, it ended with a craving for more. I can't say more, just...*giggle*

There is fighting, she not afraid to get dirty. There electricity in the air when certain people meet, and there is even a vampire from Finland, yay. Honestly we need vamps too (even if his name is not Finnish but hey maybe he is like me).

This is a book that I recommend. I can't even write a normal review, I just have this urge to get more, and pleeeease let book 2 be good. I can't handle it not being good.

Conclusion:
Amazing start to a new series.

  6. I might be tempted. The blurb sounds right and I love it when you are so obsessed with your read that you can't write three coherent sentences consecutively. It is not a criticism, mind you; you are so sweet in your ramblings and I know the book was really good!

    1. Haha, I know, I know. I ramble, honestly, when I am crazy over the moon in love with a book it shows. My review is a mess, a big loving mess. But that way it clearly shows that I enjoyed it :)
