Crime Drama Mystery (2016)
Musings:
Now this was boring. I should totally have given up, but I kept doing other things while watching it, and I did want to see who killed her. So I guess that is the only thing that kept me watching.
I did like Blunt as an alcoholic who just did not know what was happening, had happened. She was so seriously messed up. And she played it so well.
The mystery was well done too. I kept guessing, second guessing and that was the good thing about the movie. What was going on?
And the secrets, good secrets.
But it was boring. I know the story has to build, but the way there was long.
I was glad when it was over. I would not exactly recommend it.

I liked it more than you did but think it was hard to understand if you hadn't read the book.
ReplyDeleteAnd that is not the way it should be
DeleteI liked it but I agree...it did take a long time for things to get really interesting.
ReplyDeleteI did like when it did but sigh
DeleteAww! Sorry you didn't like this one more. I enjoyed it and was very pleasantly surprised by it, especially with how good the acting was. But I can see why you thought it was boring.
ReplyDeleteI kept waiting for things and I hate to wait
DeleteI liked the book. I thought the movie would be good....
ReplyDeleteMaybe you will like it
DeleteA lot of meh.
ReplyDeleteyeah
DeleteI haven't seen the movie but didn't like the book. That was boring enough...
ReplyDeleteDo not watch this then
DeleteI love Emily Blunt but I doubt I'll enjoy this one.
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of getting sick of the whole unreliable narrator thing lol
For What It's Worth
It has been overplayed a bit
DeleteOh no, it was boring? I wanted to see it or read the book. I'll put it off since I'm not exactly wanting for things to watch and read :)
ReplyDeleteNot a lot happening so it felt dragged out
DeleteLol, I love the honesty of this. It's one of those movies that was so hyped up that I was almost tempted to watch it, just to see what the fuss was about, despite it not being my type of book (therefore film). Glad I didn't bother! 🙂
ReplyDeleteI was about to give up, but I stuck to it while doing other things
DeleteYeah this one wasn't that great. I didn't love the book either. I do like Emily Blunt though.
ReplyDeleteShe is good :)
DeleteI haven't been compelled to read the book, or watch the movie. Gone Girl makes me react the same way.
ReplyDeleteI have not watched that one and do not feel like it either
DeleteI guess I should pass on the movie and stick with the book!

If the book is good the yes
DeleteI love Emily Blunt but I haven't seen this yet and am sorry to hear it's boring! I'll have to skip this one after all, it looks like.
ReplyDeleteSo dull
Deletewhen I start watching a movie I always finish it even if I'm not really liking it - that way I never have to wonder & watch it again after people tell me how good the ending was. I wasn't planning on watching this one.
ReplyDeleteI am kind of the same. BUt I forward to the end if it is truly boring
DeleteI enjoyed the audio, but haven't had any desire to see the film
ReplyDeleteOnce is enough even if good
DeleteI had wanted to see this. Maybe, I'll just try the book instead. Glad it kept you guessing, but yeah, boring is bad.
ReplyDeleteMelanie @ Hot Listens & Rabid Reads
It does go faster just watching, lol
DeleteI felt the same as you.
ReplyDelete:)
Deleteah complicated. I heard a lot about it but haven't tried the book or the movie
ReplyDeleteYou did not miss anything
DeleteI think I will stick to the book. Hope I won't regret it.
ReplyDelete;)
DeleteI do want to read the book. If I like that then I might try the movie.
ReplyDeleteGo for it
DeleteI wondered what all the fuss was on this one. I just can't bring myself to care enough to watch or read.
ReplyDeleteYou will not miss much
