Crime Drama Mystery (2016)

Musings:
Now this was boring. I should totally have given up, but I kept doing other things while watching it, and I did want to see who killed her. So I guess that is the only thing that kept me watching.

I did like Blunt as an alcoholic who just did not know what was happening, had happened. She was so seriously messed up. And she played it so well.

The mystery was well done too. I kept guessing, second guessing and that was the good thing about the movie. What was going on?

And the secrets, good secrets.

But it was boring. I know the story has to build, but the way there was long.

I was glad when it was over. I would not exactly recommend it.

  1. I liked it more than you did but think it was hard to understand if you hadn't read the book.

  3. Aww! Sorry you didn't like this one more. I enjoyed it and was very pleasantly surprised by it, especially with how good the acting was. But I can see why you thought it was boring.

  6. I love Emily Blunt but I doubt I'll enjoy this one.

I'm kind of getting sick of the whole unreliable narrator thing lol

  7. Oh no, it was boring? I wanted to see it or read the book. I'll put it off since I'm not exactly wanting for things to watch and read :)

    1. Not a lot happening so it felt dragged out

  8. Lol, I love the honesty of this. It's one of those movies that was so hyped up that I was almost tempted to watch it, just to see what the fuss was about, despite it not being my type of book (therefore film). Glad I didn't bother! 🙂

  10. I haven't been compelled to read the book, or watch the movie. Gone Girl makes me react the same way.

  13. when I start watching a movie I always finish it even if I'm not really liking it - that way I never have to wonder & watch it again after people tell me how good the ending was. I wasn't planning on watching this one.
